Weight tracker

A weight tracker that leads with the weekly trend

Weigh in when you like. The app draws a line through your readings so one salty dinner or the days before a period don't look like a setback, and the goal is optional.

The short answer

Her Good Days is a free weight tracker app: log your weight in pounds, and it shows a trend line averaged over several days, with weekly and monthly views.

A goal to lose weight or keep it steady is optional. The app never suggests crash diets or extreme calorie targets, switches weight goals off during pregnancy, and has none in teen mode.

Why a trend line?

Water, salt, a long flight and the bloating some people get before a period all move the scale from one morning to the next.[1] The Weight screen leads with the weekly average, the mean of the 7 days before each day, which shows where you are heading. The chart puts each weigh-in as a dot next to that line, over 30 or 90 days. Milestones are marked in plain words, with no red arrows.

The Weight screen: weekly average 158.1 lb, steady this week, a line that is the average of the 7 days before each day, no goal set, and a 30-day trend chart of weigh-ins and the 7-day average, with Add a weigh-in
The weekly average up top, the trend over 30 days below.

Weigh in

Step 1

Tap + Log, then Weight

If Weight isn't in your five, it is under More, in Body.

Step 2

Type the number

Or let your scale's app send it through Apple Health or Health Connect.

Step 3

See the trend in Track

Open Track, then Weight, for the line through your weigh-ins.

Measurements

Waist and hips

Log your waist and hips in inches in the US, or cm elsewhere. Turn either one off if you only want the other. The screen's own tip: measure in the morning, tape level and snug, once a week or two.

Measurements: measure in the morning, tape level and snug, once a week or two is plenty; waist 32.75 in and hips 40.5 in, each with a switch and minus and plus buttons

Progress photos

Photos that never leave your phone

Take a progress photo or pick one from your library. Same spot, same light and the same clothes each time make the change easy to see.

Progress photos are kept on that phone only. They are never sent to Her Good Days, and they aren't in your data download.

What goals can you set?

GoalWhat the app adds
Lose weightA steady pace, with protein and fiber targets in the food diary
Keep my weightA range to stay in, with strength and walking in your plan
No goalJust the log and the trend

Weight in pregnancy

When the Pregnancy mini app is on, the goal, calorie targets, measurements and photos are hidden, and the app never talks about loss. Weight tracking is set to "at appointments" by default, or you can turn it off or log it as often as you like.

Questions

Does it work with my smart scale?

Yes, if the scale's own app saves weight to Apple Health or Health Connect. Her Good Days reads each reading from there once you allow it.

Can I hide my weight from the Today screen?

Yes. Open the card's menu and hide it. Bring it back any time under You, Preferences.

Does it count calories?

The weight tracker doesn't. The food diary shows calories, protein and fiber if you log meals, and you can ignore the calories.

Where do progress photos go?

Nowhere. They stay on the phone you took them on: they are never sent to Her Good Days, never backed up and not in your data download.

Is it different for teens?

Yes. In teen mode, for ages 13 to 17, there are no weight-loss or calorie goals, and no measurements or progress photos.
