Water tracker

A water tracker that takes one tap per glass

Tap Water and a glass is added. Today keeps the count for the day, a reminder can nudge you in the afternoon, and Insights shows your week.

The short answer

Her Good Days includes a free water tracker: one tap adds a glass, from the Log menu on your phone or from the watch app.

Water reminders are optional and come with a "Log water" button, so you can record the glass without opening the app. Your daily count sits on Today, and your weekly totals sit in Insights next to sleep and the symptoms you log.

Three ways to log a glass

On the phone

Tap + Log, then Water

Set how many glasses and save. If Water isn't in your five, pin it from More.

On your watch

One tap on your wrist

On Apple Watch and Wear OS, Water is a single tap, with a short buzz and Undo.

From a reminder

Log it from the notification

Press Log water on the reminder and the glass is saved without opening the app.

Why keep track of water at all?

Mostly to see your own pattern: whether busy days are also your driest ones, or how much you drink on days you log a headache. Because water lives in the same app as your sleep and symptoms, Insights can put them side by side.

Today keeps the running count: one drop per glass, against the day's total.

Water in the food diary too

If you log meals, the food diary shows the same count under the day's totals, with a plus and a minus. Water is counted in fl oz in the US and ml elsewhere, against the amount you picked for the day.

Who sees Water in the Log menu?

  • After birth, Water is one of the five, often next to feeding if you turn that on (postpartum).
  • During pregnancy, a water line can appear in the day's plan (pregnancy).
  • With a weight goal, Water sits in the top five beside Weight, Meal and Walk.
  • Everyone else finds it under More, one pin away from the top five.

Reminders are only there if you want them: pick the times under You, Notifications. Quiet hours keep them out of the night, and the text is the same plain line for everyone.

Questions

How much water should I drink?

The app does not set a medical target, because needs change with heat, exercise, pregnancy and breastfeeding. Ask your doctor or midwife if you are unsure, and use the tracker to see what you actually drink.

Can I log water from my watch?

Yes. On Apple Watch and Wear OS, Water is a one-tap row: tap it and a glass is added, with Undo.

Does it read water from Apple Health?

No. Water is logged in Her Good Days itself, from the phone, the watch or a reminder.

Is the water tracker free?

Yes, like every other part of the app. You can use it as a guest, without an account.
